A very warm welcome to The Priory School website. We hope it will provide a snapshot of life at the school, our expectations and our ethos. The school has an interesting history and celebrates a sense of tradition as well as being forward-looking.  Not only do we pursue the important dimension of achieving the best results for each individual, regardless of their starting point, but we also believe strongly that education is about developing well-rounded individuals, who are ready, willing and able to make their contribution to society.  

Expectations and Values

Our expectations are that our students work hard, participate fully in school life and make good choices. These are expressed in such a way as to encourage students to judge themselves against these expectations and for students to set an example to each other. Through this, we establish an atmosphere that enables our students to develop values of being selfless, self-assured and successful.

Whilst we hope that the website provides a flavour of life at the school, it must never be an alternative to a visit. Our school has both serious intention and a sense of humour and at the heart of our ethos is a strong, positive working relationship between staff and students; only by visiting the school and meeting our young people is it really possible to gain a flavour and appreciation of our work together.  

Our boys and girls are the outcome of the school, and by meeting them, you will discover the breadth, depth, and hopefully a sense of both achievement and enjoyment that is vital to an excellent education.
