At The Priory School, we have a dedicated team of professionals who offer support and advice to students and parents/carers. 

School-Based Staff

Assistant Headteacher (Student Welfare), Mr Bucknall:  Mr Bucknall is the Designated Safeguarding Lead and leads Student Support and the Heads of Houses.

SENDCO, Mrs White:  Mrs White is a deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead and leads the team of Teaching Assistants and staff in supporting children with additional needs.

Student Support Officer-Liz Tinsley: Liz leads the Student Support Team and is a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead and Looked After Children Coordinator. Her specialist areas are Looked After and Post Looked After children and Child Protection. 

Deputy Student Support Officer- Lizzie Robey:  Lizzie is a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead. Her specialist areas are Pupil Premium, mental health and Early Help. 

Student Support Mentor- Sasha Armitage-Pryce

Pupil Premium Mentor- Claire Revans

Inclusion Mentor- Joanna Biggs

Bought-In Professionals

SMASHLIFE Mentor, Matt Smith:  Matt jointly runs a mentoring service for young people having previously worked for the Local Authority to support young people and families.  He works in the school one day per week to support young people with a range of issues.

SPECTRA Autism support, Val Jones:  Val works with a number of students with ASD or ASD tendencies, both individually and in small group sessions.

Educational Psychologist, Bryony Almond:  The school engages Bryony’s services as required to assess students where significant barriers to learning occur.
