MFL: Our intention is to provide a challenging, stimulating and exciting MFL curriculum, which ensures our students of French and Spanish:
approach their studies with curiosity, tolerance, resilience and enthusiasm, understanding that they do not need to be fluent in order to communicate confidently with non-English speakers in a range of situations.
develop a wide range of vocabulary, enabling them to understand information in the target language through reading and listening
can exploit a range of grammatical structures alongside their vocabulary to communicate with confidence both orally and in writing about a variety of topics
have a greater understanding and appreciation of the similarities and differences between life in Shrewsbury and in countries where the target language is spoken
