Our group of six, very enthusiastic students L to R — Millie Burton, Lottie Morris, Ruby Verling, Elsa Thorpe, Ava Sherwin and Erin Burton volunteered to join a lunchtime club to enter this competition run by The Drapers Guild, a long established charity who supports Almshouses and the preservation of historic buildings in the town.

The theme was simply “wool”. Their superb woven/felted wall hangings won them many accolades! … a whole range of gold, silver, bronze and commended awards considering they only had a matter of seven weeks to complete them!
