The Priory School is an ‘Outstanding’ mixed comprehensive school where you will find some remarkable young people who are proud of their school along with a group of staff who enjoy a close-knit team ethos and who share the same passion to work hard as their students.

Pay scale: MPS/UPS According to Experience (with possibility of departmental and whole school responsibility for the right candidate.) Permanent starting September 2017

The Role

We are thrilled to be recruiting for a new English Teacher within our outstanding and dynamic English Department. The vacancy has arisen due to the recent promotion of our current Teacher in English. The successful applicant, if suitably qualified, could be appointed to this management position. We are seeking to appoint an innovative and energetic Teacher of English to work with a team of specialist teachers, reporting to the Head of English, in a very successful department.

Enjoy working with the best brains within our excellent facilities, that in turn facilitates your love of the subject. Suitable for an NQT or more experienced candidate.

The Department

We are fortunate that our entire team of teaching staff is devised of highly intelligent, capable and passionate educators. Join a team that is dedicated to not just our students success, but yours too. If you can support and guide our students to achieve their potential, we absolutely will help you to achieve yours. The School Whilst excellent academic outcomes are essential, the ability to contribute to the wider life of the school will be a significant dimension of the post holder. We take great pride in our school and you will be well supported in carrying out your duties to enable our students to be selfless, self-assured and successful, both in school and beyond our boundaries into society. The Priory School leads the Salop Teaching Alliance, which also provides exciting career opportunities for our staff.
