Parents - Old

Parents and Carers play an important role at The Priory School. We recognise the importance of a close working relationship with parents and value the support and co-operation we receive from them in the maintenance of high standards of dress, behaviour and achievement by the students who are our mutual responsibility.

Parents and Carers are kept informed with all the latest news and developments though letters home and our newsletters, copies are also available online on this website.

The Priory School also ensures day to day contact with the school is obtained via the students' planner. This is used for students to record homework and coursework to keep track of their work in school. We then ask parents and form tutors to sign the diary each week.

We are happy for you to visit us during the school day.  Visitors are asked to report to reception where they will be met by the member of staff with whom they have an appointment. If parents and carers have any queries or concerns about their child, the first point of contact is the child's form tutor.

A consultation evening is arranged for parents to meet teaching staff for each year group.  This is supplemented by a Year 9 Choices Information evening which outlines the choices available for students to undertake in Years 10 and 11 and a Year 11 information evening prior to decisions concerning post 16 plans. We hold an annual Personalised Planning Day where parents/carers and students are invited for a 10 minute consultation with their Form Tutor.

We can provide paper copies of our policies or any information displayed on our website, where data protection is not compromised.  To enquire about paper copies please contact Sandra Cooper via email sc@tpstrust.co.uk
