Students and staff across the school celebrated the magic of literature once again as they donned costumes to mark World Book Day on Thursday 7th March, raising £738.33 for charitable causes.
Characters from fictional favourites including The Hunger Games and 101 Dalmations could be seen alongside Harry Potter and David Walliam's characters, as we marked the annual tradition celebrating its 22nd birthday. The ultimate prize-winning outfit this year was a fully constructed train to Hogwarts carrying a wealth of Potter characters!
The English department always promise a literary surprise and this year they delivered a Roald Dahl flavoured 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' theme, with the English corridor transformed. Lucky golden ticket winners got the opportunity to visit 'The Chocolate Room' at lunch for sweet treats and free books.
