Friday 7th July saw our final charity event for the year with large numbers of students taking part in a 12 hour sportathon.

Students signed up for a maximum of 4 activities which varied from yoga to dodgeball. 90 students were still here at midnight having completed the final hour of circuits with Mr Walters, Mr Bucknell, Mr Stacey and Miss Morris along with Connor Leach who left us last year but came back to help.

Great enthusiasm was shown by the students throughout. Our exercise bikes were in constant use from midday to 8pm when Mr Walmsley was able to truimphantly announce that they had reached their goal of covering the distance to Paris – led by Mr Barratt who clocked up 100 miles.

Well done to all concerned and thanks to parents and grandparents who have dug deep in their pockets to raise sponsor money. Please can all money be brought into school as soon as possible so we can see what has been raised.
