Schools Cross Country Championships

Schools Cross Country Championships
posted 10 Mar 2017

On Saturday 4th February, 35 students represented Priory at the Shropshire School Cross Country Championships at Oswestry School. Out of the 32 schools who had entries, we had one of the largest groups of students competing and our presence was noticed by many.

All of our students took on their courses with sheer grit and determination and we were incredibly pleased with everyone’s performance.

Special mention must go to our Yr.7 teams who brought home Priory’s first ever team medals in any event at the championships.

For the girls, Grace Switonski, Cerys Daniels, Jasmine Shirra, Layla Hill and Billie Switonski all worked together to place them 3rd.

For the boys, Oliver Sharp, Ieuan Williams, Oliver Hodgson, Ryley Oakley, Sam Lloyd and Harrison Sharp brought home the Championship trophy for their first place in the team event.

It was a pleasure to work with all of the students who participated and we look forward to another successful year in 2018!
