After another successful quiz night, form events and two non uniform days our total for the year to date has topped £10,000! This was just in time as last week we had a presentation by Children With Cancer, one of our chosen charities, which was a sobering reminder of just why we work hard at fundraising.
Our most recent event was in aid of Comic Relief where over £1200 was raised by selling red noses, collecting spare change, wearing non uniform and climbing Kilimanjaro! The latter was achieved by 52 students who with the support of Climb The Walls at Harlescott, tried to climb the equivalent of 6000m inspired by the celebrities taking on Kilimanjaro. The group split into two halves and each student had a target of 12 climbs to make the height….. it was smashed with 10 minutes to spare so well done all.
Our final big event of the year is our Colour Run on May 3rd …parents as well as students and staff are welcome to participate, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have missed the email about the event.
