During October halfterm 27 Year 11 students and 4 teachers headed to New York on a Business and Law trip.
We had a jam packed itinerary each day combining the famous sites of the city along with things the New Yorkers like to do such as taking the Staten Island Ferry, relaxing in Central Park or lunching in Grand Central Station. Of course, there was also time for a little shopping! Some thoughts from the students:
"Stepping out of JFK airport into New York was where the excitement began! As we drove through Queens and into Manhattan it all seemed so surreal that we were actually in the city that never sleeps. After we had been to the hotel and settled in, we ventured down to Fifth Avenue, the most amazing place I have ever been to. It was shopping galore! Going up to the Top of the Rock and seeing the beautiful views of New York at night was such a great experience that I will never forget. Overall my experience in New York was absolutely fantastic and I would love to go again". Jasmine L
"It was very exciting. When I woke up, I could not wait to arrive. The journey felt like forever but it was definitely worth wait. After we made ourselves at home in “the Manhattan times square hotel” we went to Fifth Avenue and it was amazing. The best part of the trip was the Monday, when we went up the Empire State building. The view from up there was unbelievable, you can see so much from up there. Also, the shopping was very exciting as there was so much to buy. The food was very nice and some of the best I've ever tasted in my life". Joe G
"I loved New York to death! From the amazing places I saw to the food that I ate has been some of the best memories I have ever made in my whole entire life! Even though I'm only 15 I still think this will be the best trip I have taken in a long time and I hope to go back again! It has inspired me to reach for my dreams and grasp at the sky…-scraper. It was amazing and I loved it I hope that everyone else enjoyed it as much as I did! Stefano M
"During our time at NYC we visited many places like the Ellis Island, Statue of Liberty, 9/11, Brooklyn Bridge, Top of the Rock, Empire State, Grand Central, famous buildings, and several shopping trips. We all enjoyed our time together as a school in NYC site seeing, shopping, and many more things". Hannah M
